Biography: Looking back ever since I was teenager I always wanted to be in the fitness world, I wasn't sure how but I was determined that some day I would become a bodybuilder. I remember looking at pictures like one of my idols back then Cory Everson and wanted to look like her. As a kid I wasn't fit, and in top of everything I had an injury on my right knee and I remember in my early 20's going to the physiatrist office and I was devastated when he told me: "Don't worry just loose a couple of pounds and do a few exercises for your quadriceps" and that was it because I wouldn't never be a bodybuilder; little did he knew that it was all ready in my mind, and let's face it, when someone tells you can't do something is when you want to do it the most. Between college and work my dream took a back seat, and years went by, until I was constantly sick couldn't keep any food down, anything fried, or heavy with creams was like poison for me, and finally the doctor told me I needed to change my eating habits quick because I was heading to have an ulcer at the young age of 24, I think I was god's way of reminding me of my dream, that's when I decided to change, started eating healthier, and finally hit the gym and the fat started to melt away and muscles began to show and I was finally on the road of my dream. I decided to become an aerobic instructor and personal trainer and in less than a year I was giving classes, training people and loving it!!! It wasn't until 6 years later that I decided to train for my first show. I remember quitting my job as a sales representative with a bachelor degree in communications and a masters degree in management and open my own gym and haven't stop working as a personal trainer. And for a whole year I trained as hard as ever and I won my first show as a bodybuilder and ever since I haven't stop competing. In 2006 decided to compete in figure I switch category and my first show in New York I placed 7th and it was awesome after being a former bodybuilder for the past 6 years. Now in other category and it when very well, I'm getting ready for next competition and on my road to become a Pro Figure competitor. In 2005 I started promoting fitness events in Puerto Rico. I love competing so much that I wanted to share my joy and energy with other athletes and in 3 years I have done 4 shows. So I keep on the sky is the limits, and my source of energy,
inspiration and determination is God!!! |
